Vanessa is a professional photographer based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She would love to to have the opportunity to help capture the memories of your life, through photography... "Capturing the moment that lies in front of the lens is what I love. The special moment can be defined by emotion, lighting, or sentiment. The camera has a power to capture a single moment in time that can never be recreated. The precise expression or play of light can not be exactly duplicated; resulting in the true power of the image. A photograph conveys emotion and tells a story with each of its colors or shades of gray. It a passport to a former moment in time, allowing the viewer to feel an emotion from just viewing the resulting image... Photography has a power all it's own and I love it! This love of photography led me to attend and graduate from the prestigious Hallmark Institute of Photography, where I learned both portrait and commercial photography. While attending Hallmark I was a finalist for the Best of College Photography contest sponsored by Photographer's Forum and Nikon. As a result of this contest my work has been published in 'Photographer's Forum Best of College Photography Annual 2007'. My work has also been donated to Doctors Without Borders in a benefit print sale and is in the permanent collection of the Hallmark Museum of Contemporary Photography. Prior to attending the Hallmark Institute of Photography I earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine, with a focus on Marketing, Event Planning and Management. I worked for several years in the business world before deciding to follow my heart and pursue photography. I am working the hardest I have ever worked to follow my dreams and I am having a great time doing it.
